About Our Homes | Build Cycle/Process

Our building process begins with an initial meeting between Echelon and the homeowner. Together we determine what style of home you are interested in building, your timeline, your budget, which special features and finishes appeal to you. Once determined, a contract will be signed and financing will be established.

When your house plans are finalized, Echelon’s Design Center team will help you choose your selections, finishes and upgrades. As you know, materials such as plumbing fixtures, lighting, cabinets, counter tops, flooring, wine cellars, wet bars, etc. are what make your house a truly custom home.

Following your selections, finishes and upgrade choices, construction begins. Routinely there are nine construction stages. At the end of each of these stages, your project manager will review your home’s progress with you.

Once your home is nearing completion, you will participate in a walk thru inspection with your project manager. During this inspection, you will note any concerns that you may have. These concerns will be addressed and the building will be finished.

After your home is completed, and we receive a Certificate of Occupancy, you will have your final walk thru inspection. Following the walk thru you are welcome to start enjoying your new Echelon Custom Home!

Easily stay informed of the progress of your home by accessing your personal Echelon website which includes legal documents, floor plans, schedules and photos. In addition, your project manager will be in regular communication with you.
