Designer
Company: Echelon Custom Homes
Location: Rehoboth Beach
Status: Full Time
The Designer for Echelon Custom Homes plans and designs interiors to meet the specific needs of the custom home customer. He/she determines, with the customer, the budget, architectual preferences, purpose and selection requirements for the new home. The designer advises the customer on issues of space planning and layout, appliance, cabinetry,lighting and hardware options and color coordination. This position will estimate the cost of selections, materials, customization and provide estimates to the customer for approval.
The Designer will render design ideas in the form of paste ups, drawings or illustrations to include selection options, finishes, lighting and materials.
- 4 year degree in Interior Design with updated portfolio.
- Two or more years of design experience.
- PC proficiency in MS Office and design programs; CAD skills preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated Originality - ability to develop clever or creative ways to solve a problem.
- Visualization - ability to visualize a completed room when its parts are incomplete, moved or rearranged.
- Professional writing skills and ability to be persuasive.
- Strong time management and organizational skills required.
