About Echelon | News, Events & Press ReleasesThe Peninsula earns three home builder awardsCape Gazette, Friday, Dec. 30 – Monday, Jan. 2, 2006 The Peninsula on Indian River Bay, a luxury gated community near Rehoboth Beach featuring Delaware's first private Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, recently won a Silver Award and three Regional Awards at the National Association of Home Builders' (NAHB) annual national competition, The Nationals 2006. The Peninsula's Iris model brought home both the awards in the Best Custom/Spec Home category and is now a finalist for the national Gold Award to be announced at the Jan. 11 gala ceremony. The Peninsula on Indian River Bay also won a Regional Award for the Best Color Ad-Masterplan category. Miller & Smith, The Peninsula's townhome and villa builder, also won a Regional Award as the best interior merchandising of a model in the $400,000 to $650,000 range for the South Beach villa. In addition, J. Kevin Burke of Peninsula Realty and Marketing Specifics Inc., the marketing and advertising executives for The Peninsula, were recognized by The Nationals for distinction in sales and marketing. The NAHB awards are the latest of several national accolades recognizing the standard of excellence for the development property. "We are honored by the National Association of Home Builders' recognition of our team's hard work in selling our fine," said Larry A. Goldstein, president of Odyssey Development, the developers of The Peninsula. "It is a thrill to be considered one of the industry's finest in design and execution, as well as for our marketing efforts." The nationals competition is the largest for new-home sales and marketing professionals, drawing more than 1,200 entries in residential product design, marketing, interior merchandising, advertising, individual sales achievement and website design.
