Eleven 'Super Models' to Appear Memorial Day Weekend

New Age Media Concepts, Thursday, 12 May 2005

MILLSBORO, DE, (NAMC) - The Peninsula On The Indian River Bay announces the grand opening of the Model Home Village at Delaware's first private, luxury residential golf resort this Memorial Day weekend. The Model Home Village will showcase eleven "Super Model" homes throughout the summer, commemorating the official grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony by Larry Goldstein, developer and Melissa Firetti, Vice President of Sales & Marketing of The Peninsula at 10 a.m. Friday, May 27.

The eleven elegantly furnished "Super Model" homes, consisting of three custom homes: The Iris by Echelon Custom Homes, The Nathaniel by Brosnahan & Sons, and The Zachary by Atlantic Homes, as well as six villa models and two townhome models displayed by Miller and Smith, one of the largest privately held builders in the Washington, D.C. area. Miller and Smith's villa models include The Nantucket, The Newport, The Catalina, South Beach, Bermuda and The Hampton. Their townhome models include the Bar Harbor and the Malibu.

"We are thrilled to open the Model Home Village to the public and present the stunning homes we have been talking about for so long," said Melissa Firetti, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at The Peninsula. "The Village will provide a nice and relaxing atmosphere for prospective homebuyers to get a preview of what's to come at The Peninsula upon completion."

The Model Home Village, featuring The Peninsula Cafe, will debut the unique and stunning coastal village architecture that will soon grace the nine private neighborhoods at The Peninsula. The homes at The Peninsula will come in a variety of styles, including townhomes, villas, condominiums and custom homes, all situated to take advantage of the scenic views and natural topography of the community.

The grand opening of the Model Home Village will be the kick-off event for numerous fun and festive activities that are planned to take place at The Peninsula throughout this summer, including a raffle for seven playhouses custom built by the Peninsula builders, valued at over $6000 each. Raffle tickets for the playhouses will be on sale throughout the summer and the winner will be announced this Labor Day, with proceeds to benefit the Children's Beach House in Wilmington, DE. The Peninsula will also be selling bracelets for $2 each at local retail outlets throughout Rehoboth Beach and Lewes, DE to help raise overall awareness and funding for the Children's Beach House. Founded in 2003, Children's Beach House provides counseling services, behavior development as well as recreational and educational activities for children with special needs.

The Peninsula will feature an array of housing options and will include over 1,400 residential units upon completion. Anchored by the Peninsula's Lakeside Village Center, the $40-million amenity package will complement the luxurious housing options and will include Delaware's first private Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, managed by Troon Golf, high-end retail shopping, restaurants, a wave lagoon, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a beach, an eight-court tennis complex with stadium seating, a nature center and outdoor fire pits. Once completed, The Peninsula On The Indian River Bay will establish a private rental program as a way to give vacationers a chance to experience the high-end lifestyle of The Peninsula.
